The City of Palos Hills led a project to extend approximately 1.5 miles of the Cal-Sag Trail network to improve access and connectivity. The new path encourages healthy, alternative modes of transportation to be used to access facilities such as Moraine Valley Community College, Amos Alonzo Stagg High School, the Palos Heights Metra Station and the regional trail network connecting countless other amenities, transportation hubs, businesses, parks, and neighborhoods. Funding for this project was provided by Cook County through their Invest in Cook Program and in cooperation with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago.
