On Tuesday, April 2nd, there will be aldermanic elections as well as school board and the library board. please take time to vote on election day.

Spring Spruce Up: Letʼs all take a hard look at our property. Could your home, fence, gutters, etc. use some fresh paint? Do your front doors need to be varnished? When was the last time you did some landscaping? Fresh colorful flowers make a real difference to you and anyone who is walking or driving by. Repairs, both small and large, will increase your property value as well as the neighborhood.

Police Department: With the police department only open from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday, call 598-2992 for general information. For water main breaks
etc. call 598-2151 after 5:00 P.M., and on weekends and holidays. For any emergency call 911.

Chipper Schedule:

107th to 103rd. West side of 84th Ave. going to east side of 86th Ave or Aspen Drive.

Branches must be curbside early Monday, but pickup could occur anytime that week.

Neighbors: Sometimes residents are too proud to request assistance. If you have a neighbor who lives alone, and the weather is extremely hot or cold, please check on them.

Sprinkling: May 15th to September 15th, even numbered addresses can water on even numbered days from 7:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. Odd
numbered addresses can water on odd numbered days during the same time periods.

Lighting: Many residential areas are extremely dark. Please consider sufficient lighting on the exterior of your homes and possibly timers for the inside.

Vehicles: All vehicles parked on residential property must be registered (with current license plates} and operable (no flat tires). No vehicle shall be parked on the grass, gravel, or other improper extensions next to the driveway. All vehicles must be parked on the delineated driveway.

Refuse Containers: Garbage and recycling containers cannot be stored in the front of your property.

Yard Waste: Yard waste pickup resumes the first week in April and goes until the last week in November. No fee yard waste stickers are available at city hall.

Tornadoes: Please be aware of tornado watches and sirens and always take precautions.

Dryer Vents: Be aware that lint buildup can cause fires.

Voting Locations: Precincts 7 and 35 vote at the Community Center (Park Dept.) 8455 W. 103rd Precinct 28 votes at the Green Hills Library located at 10331 Interlochen
Drive. Early voting begins March 18th with locations to be determined.

Addresses: Numbers on any building must be clearly visible from the street and not less than 3 inches in height. “All numbers on buildings shall be situated in a conspicuous place on or near the entrance to the buildings” (Ordinance #917 (12.12.080)
